This beautiful trail system lies just outside of Jacksonville, and is laced with natural wonders and beauties for every level of hiker or cyclist. A diverse landscape, Forest Park offers over 30 miles of trails in over 1,000 acres of forested hills for you to explore!
The park has ample parking, and several trails that are distinctly marked for hiking-only, biking-only, or multiuse. There are plenty of benches throughout the hiking trails to enjoy a picnic with family, or take in the beauty of nature surrounding you. Wildflowers, deer and ducks live freely throughout the park, and you are sure to spot some beautiful wildlife at some point on your adventure. This beautiful trail system is great for family hikes with the kiddos, picnics, mountain biking, trail running, photography, and taking your dogs out in nature! Be sure to watch for ticks and poison oak in the hotter months, and slick mud in the cooler seasons. Some overlooks also have steep ledges, so it is always wise to use caution while enjoying your adventure.
Take Oregon Highway 62 (Crater Lake Highway) west until it turns into Rossanley Lane (Highway 238). Continue 2.2 miles and turn left onto Hanley Road (Highway 238 continued). Follow Highway 238 for 2.8 miles through Jacksonville. Turn right on East California Street. Pass through the intersection at North Oregon Street and continue on California Street (Highway 238 continued) for 1.6 miles. Make a right onto Jacksonville Reservoir Road for 0.25 miles to the entrance of the park.
